Capital Chefs’ Showcase, our premiere fund raising event which began in 1982 as a two-day cooking demonstration, has grown to include 27 of the area's premier restaurants and caterers presenting their specialty dishes for tasting by over 1,100 attendees.
The event is always scheduled for the Thursday after Labor Day, each year. The Silent Auction preview party begins at 6:00 p.m. with the Showcase beginning at 7:00 p.m. Attendees also have the opportunity to participate in a Champagne & Diamonds Shopping Extravaganza Raffle presented by Lee Michael's Fine Jewelry.
Over the years, the Capital Chefs' Showcase has raised more than $3,000,000 to help fulfill our mission of improving life for those living with cancer. With the help of our dedicated volunteers and the generous support of the business community, Cancer Services is able to direct the money raised by the Showcase to provide programs and services for children and adults in our ten-parish service area dealing with cancer.
