We offer a variety of direct assistance services such as financial assistance, medical supplies, nutritional supplement and durable medical equipment. Our Direct Assistance Program Director, Trish Mann, LCSW, and her team of service coordinators are here to help you with your direct assistance needs.
Financial assistance in the form of Prescription Assistance and Mileage Reimbursement
Cancer Services provides assistance to help qualified clients pay for their cancer related medications. This includes treatment medications, anti-nausea medications, pain medications and medications prescribed for depression, anxiety and insomnia.
There is also a free discount card available through United Networks of America that may help with the cost of certain medications. Click here for additional information.
Mileage reimbursement assistance is also provided to qualified clients who have to travel long distances in order to receive medical care and treatment related to their cancer. We also offer financial assistance towards ostomy supplies, monthly rental of medical equipment, lymphedema garments and laryngectomy supplies for eligible clients.

We offer a variety of flavors of nutritional supplement to help with caloric intake.
Medical Supplies 
Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge offers medical supplies through our distribution area. Clients can receive items such as incontinent supplies, wound care supplies, and oral hygiene products.
Durable Medical Equipment
Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge provides durable medical equipment through our loan warehouse. We house a variety of equipment such as hospital beds, wheelchairs, walkers, canes, bedside commodes, shower seats and more.
Wig Boutique, Mastectomy Bras and Prosthesis
Cancer Services has an attractive Wig Boutique for our clients to try on stylish wigs in a private and comfortable atmosphere. We also provide a variety of hats, turbans and scarves. Cancer Services also has mastectomy bras and prostheses to breast cancer survivors.
