Capital Chefs’ Showcase, our premiere fund raising event which began in 1982 as a two daycooking demonstration,has grown to include 26 of the area's premier restaurants and caterers presenting their specialty dishes for tasting by over 1,100 attendees. Whole Foods Market hosts a Silent Auction preview party at 6:00 p.m. with the Showcase and fabulous Silent Auction beginning at 7:00 p.m. Attendees have the opportunity to participate in a Champagne & Diamonds Extravaganza Raffle presented by Lee Michael's Fine Jewelry.
Over the years the Capital Chefs' Showcase has raised over $1,700,000 to help fulfill our mission of improving the quality of life for those living with cancer. With the help of our dedicated volunteers and the generous support of the business community, Cancer Services is able to direct over 85% of all money raised by the Showcase to provide programs and services for children and adults in our ten-parish service area living with, through, and beyond cancer.
