Cancer Services provides adult support groups designed to meet our client's individual needs. In joining a group, one will find a safe place to share and manage the feelings and concerns experienced with a cancer diagnosis.

This is a free exercise program taught by Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Laura LeBlanc and held at BREC Park on
Independence Blvd. You must obtain signed consent from your physician. Enroll today; space is limited!

Support Groups
Ascension Parish Cancer Support Group
This is a general support group for those living in Ascension Parish and the surrounding area. This group meets on the 4th Wednesday of every month at Noon at the First United Methodist Church in Gonzales.
Brain Cancer Support Group
Designed for brain cancer survivors, this group meets on the 2nd Monday of every month from Noon - 1:00 PM at Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge.
Breast Cancer Support Group
Designed for breast cancer survivors, this group meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month from Noon - 1:00 PM at Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge.
Caregivers Support Group
Designed for caregivers of cancer patients, this group meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month at Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge. A light lunch is served.
Colorectal/Bladder/Liver Support Group
This group meets the 3rd Monday of each month from Noon - 1:00 PM at Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge.
East Feliciana Cancer Support Group
This group meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each monty and is presented by CSGBR and Jackson United Methodist Church in Jackson, LA. Call for more information, (225)927-2273.
Community Grief Support Group
This group meets every Tuesday from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM at Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge.
Lung Cancer Support Group
Designed for lung cancer survivors, this group meets on the 3rd Friday of every month at Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge. A light lunch is served.
Lymphoma/Leukemia/Myelodysplasia Support Group
Designed for lymphoma/leukemia/myelodysplasia survivors and their family members, this group meets on the last Friday of every month from Noon - 1:00 PM at Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge. A light lunch is served.
Make Today Count Speaker Meeting
Experts from the community share the latest news and research on cancer-related topics. This group meets on the 4th Thursday of every month from Noon - 1:00 PM at Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge. A light lunch is served.
Multiple Myeloma Support Group
Designed for survivors and family members coping with multiple myeloma, this group meets on the 2nd Wednesday from Noon - 1:00 PM at Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge. A light lunch is served.
Oral Head & Neck Cancer Support Group
Designed for survivors with oral head and neck cancer, this group meets on the 3rd Wednesday from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge.
Holistic Healing (formerly Relaxation Workshop)
Learn effective ways of helping the mind and body heal. April Madere, nurse and licensed massage therapist, provides light touch massage for cancer patients in addition to information on other relaxation techniques. This group meets on the 1st Friday of every month from Noon - 1:00 PM at Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge.
St. Francisville Cancer Support Group
This is a general support group for those living in East and West Feliciana Parishes coping with a cancer diagnosis. This group meets on the 1st Wednesday of every month from Noon - 1:00 PM at the St. Francisville Town Hall located on Main Street in St. Francisville. A light lunch is served.
St. James Parish Cancer Support Group This is a general support group for those living in St. James Parish and the surrounding area. This group meets on the 1st Thursday of every month from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the St. James Library located in Lutcher.
